What’s the Story?

Sly is a man in his thirties and doesn’t care about much except his annual pickup basketball tournament with his buddies Cyrus and Stevey. He just moved into an apartment complex in his hometown and has run into an aggressive neighbor complaining that Sly has been parking in his spot. The two go back and forth passive-aggressively, Sly knows he should just move on with his life but his ego won’t let him back down.

Turning into a slight obsession Sly begins to follow the neighbor as he drives around town down to the woods where the neighbor unknowingly leads Sly to an area, where, for some reason, he is burying a suitcase into the earth, Sly pins the location in his phone and goes back later that night to see what is buried, turns out the suitcase is full of money.

Sly goes back to share the news of wealth with his buddies, but paranoia sets in; the neighbor has to know they took the money. In an irrational decision Sly wheels the suitcase back to the neighbor’s car to clear his conscious but soon realizes his stupidity, he immediately goes back to find the suitcase is gone.

So Sly and the guys cook up a half-baked plan to steal the suitcase back from the neighbor but have no idea who they are up against, they get outsmarted by a man on the run. In the end, the guys give up and concentrate on winning their basketball tournament against a group of high school students.

His most recent role was as Dr. Scott in Atlantic City Theatre Company's production of Rocky Horror Picture Show, for whom he also participated in several online staged readings during the height of the COVID pandemic. In addition to acting, Joseph spends his free time writing, with the intention of one day having a script that can be produced.

He also participated in many choirs and plays, showing an interest in performing as a whole. It wasn't until after graduating from Montclair State University in 2016 that he discovered that podcasting was his passion. Inspired by the Desus Nice & The Kid Mero (Bodega Boys) he decided to start his podcast with lifelong friend Julian Ellzy called the ‘Not That Serious Podcast’ 2017, which now has listeners all over the World. Then, after the urging of friends and family, He started to do standup comedy in the South Jersey & Philly area and continues to work on his comedic craft to this day. When not behind the Microphone (on Stage or in the Studio), he likes to stay in like the homebody that he is. This will be his first acting experience and one that he would like to build on in the future.

She studied psychology at Penn State and social work at Edinboro University and now works as a social worker. She started acting again in 2021 and has worked on several films since then.
